The Wales we wantComments Off on The Wales we want
A couple of weeks ago I was invited to meet with David and Mari from Cynnal Cymru – Sustain Wales. The organisation are based in a beautiful old Victorian building in the bay and I was warmly welcomed into a bright office full of plants and promptly offered a cup of tea (always a winner in my book!) It was fantastic to meet a group of people that are clearly passionate about creating sustainable change in Wales but also honest and realistic about the way to go about it.
Cynnal Cymru – Sustain Wales are doing a lot to encourage sustainable development in Wales. They provide training to organisations and businesses, large and small. They manage the sustainable development charter, which more than 200 pioneering organisations have signed up to. And they host events that bring together inspiring people to share stories and ideas for positive change. I am also very happy to announce that they have been kind enough to sponsor two of our Skills for sustainable living workshops this year.
This month, to celebrate the launch of the Wales We Want report, Cynnal Cymru in partnership with WCVA will be holding a number of free taster sessions to enable Third Sector organisations to begin to engage with the concept of sustainable development and translate it into practical benefits for their organisation.
